The moon is mine

I look at the sky About to cry Cry cause there's no one to call mine I see the moon out there Its beauty- sublime and fair How we adore it Am I supposed to be filled with envy Something so magnificent and plenty And someone so small am i But how could there be any jealousy The moon is just plain lovely Lovely for it is humble to our eyes Comes up every night and listens to people's thoughts and cries Reminds us of stability in chaotic changes through its own phases No wonder it gets limitless praises Everything and everyone comes and goes by But the moon comes up every night to say hi And just to make it easier to sleep I call the moon mine and weep For my heart and intentions are as pure as it is itself Surely it knows and so the love is mutual So the moon has all my heart and I have on my eye the jewel
